Carbon intensity is calculated as grams of COโ equivalent per kilowatt-hour (gCOโ/kWh) of electricity consumed. The calculation aggregates emissions from all generation sources (fossil fuels, nuclear, renewables) weighted by their contribution to the grid mix. Lower values indicate more renewable energy in the mix.
